IT Data Consulting (ITDC) is a well-established national consulting firm, seeks a Web Content Manager/Editor to join our team of experts supporting a prominent federal website. We are looking for a creative thinker and wordsmith to be part of a team that curates, edits and posts a wide variety of content to this prestigious site.

This role is a full-time, salaried position. Regular work hours are 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mandatory on-call responsibilities outside of regular hours include one weeknight on-call watch, plus scheduled, rotating weekend and holiday on-call watches.
The assigned workplace is Fort Meade, Md., with telework options. Candidates must live within a reasonable driving distance of Fort Meade and be prepared to report to the office when required, sometimes with little to no notice.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Five or more years’ professional experience with a degree in any of the following fields: journalism, writing, producing, editing or communications;
- Excellent writing, editing, copyediting and proofreading skills with demonstrated expertise in using the AP Style Guide;
- Experience posting copy and photos to the web using a content management system (includes systems based on Dot-Net-Nuke, WordPress, Wix, Drupal, Adobe Experience Manager, etc.).), including building and arranging page layouts in a WYSIWYG editor, with working knowledge of HTML and SEO;
- Preferred: comfort designing and arranging page layouts in a WYSIWYG CMS editor (drag-and-drop modules, embeds, responsive preview) and making light hands-on HTML edits (e.g., formatting text, embedding links/media, troubleshooting layout issues in the source/code view) without developer support;
- An eye for strong imagery to complement text and other content and the ability to use Photoshop to crop and make minor photo edits (e.g., resizing, adjusting brightness/contrast);
- Must be able to pass a security background screening, or already hold a public trust clearance or CAC;
- Must meet all requirements for federal contractors, including mandatory random drug tests and vaccinations;
- Authorization to work for any U.S. employer;
- Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the described duties and responsibilities.
