CVI has experienced significant growth in recent years, creating new opportunities to increase our impact and strengthen the services we provide. We are seeking a VP of Finance and Operations who will play a central leadership role in shaping the future of the organization.
The VP of Finance and Operations will serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and a key member of the leadership team, overseeing finance, operations, human resources, and revenue cycle management. The successful candidate will help build the systems, processes, and organizational capacity necessary to support continued growth while maintaining focus on mission and service excellence.

Essential Responsibilities
Financial Management
· Oversee all accounting and financial operations.
· Manage revenue cycle and medical insurance reimbursement.
· Supervise accounting staff.
· Lead annual budgeting and financial planning processes.
· Produce and review monthly financial statements and reports on key performance indicators.
· Manage cash flow, financial forecasting, and organizational reserves.
· Manage annual audits and Form 990 preparation.
· Serve as staff liaison to the board’s Finance Committee.
· Ensure compliance with applicable financial policies and regulations.
Organizational Leadership and Operations
· Provide leadership and oversight for CVI’s daily operations.
· Translate strategic priorities into operational plans and measurable outcomes.
· Coordinate work across departments and ensure organizational alignment.
· Improve systems, processes, and organizational efficiency.
· Support a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
· Serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner to the CEO.
Human Resources and Administration
· Oversee human resources policies, practices, and compliance.
· Foster a positive organizational culture and employee engagement.
· Ensure effective administration of employee benefits and personnel systems.
Facilities and Risk Management
· Oversee facilities and administrative functions.
· Manage vendor relationships and service contracts.
· Ensure appropriate internal controls and risk management practices.
· Maintain business continuity and operational readiness.
Staff Leadership
· Supervise designated directors and managers.
· Establish performance expectations and accountability systems.
· Support leadership and staff development throughout the organization.
Qualifications
Required
· Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, nonprofit management, public administration, or related field.
· Experience in nonprofit accounting, financial strategy, and operations.
· A minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience.
· Demonstrated experience managing organizational operations and staff.
· Strong financial management and budgeting experience.
· Experience presenting financial and operational information to boards or governing bodies.
· Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
Preferred
· CPA, MBA, MPA or other relevant professional credential.
· Experience overseeing healthcare reimbursement, medical billing, revenue cycle management, or insurance-funded services.
· Demonstrated ability to use financial and operational data to improve reimbursement performance and organizational sustainability.
· Experience managing relationships with third-party billing providers and healthcare payers.
