Venice Properties is looking for a dependable Maintenance Technician with the right character, chemistry, commitment, and competency. We want someone who takes pride in quality work, communicates well, and treats residents with respect.
What You’ll Do
- Complete daily work orders across our residential portfolio
- Help with turnovers
- Perform plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, and general apartment repairs
- Communicate clearly with residents and set expectations
- Document work performed and next steps in our property management software
- Participate in evening and weekend on-call needs (very rare)
- Work closely with our maintenance supervisor and team
Requirements
- Apartment maintenance experience
- Plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repair skills, heavy on plumbing experience as this is our most frequent area of work.
- Ability to handle routine work orders independently
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable vehicle
- Your own tools
- Strong communication and professionalism
- Ability to use email
- Required availability during the last week of July and the first three weeks of August each year
Preferred
- Experience with scattered-site or older residential properties
- AppFolio property management software experience
- Google Docs experience
Pay and Benefits
- $25–$30/hour, based on experience
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- More hours during July/August turnover period
- 10 PTO days after 3 months, plus 1 extra day per year after year 1
